The Arbat is a true symbol of old Moscow. PushIts kin, Esenin, Okudzhava walked on its pavement..Its name is first mentioned in the city chronicles of 1493. Muscovites used to say: «For money, go to Zamoskvorechye, for a career, go to St. Petersburg, but for knowledge and memories, go to the Arbat». Today during your walk you can buy different Russian souvenirs, visit numerous cafes, restaurants and small shops.
METRO – TOUR.
The first line of Moscow metro, with 13 stations, was opened in 1935. Now, there are more than 150 stations and Moscow metro is the main means of municipal transport in the city. Some stations look like real underground palaces.
